
The area surrounding the Hall is rife with activities such as salmon & sea trout fishing, golf, horse riding, quad trekking, cycling, swimming and tennis. There are also other activities such as:
Walking
There are many brilliant walks in the area, but just one might be that around Cadair Idris. This is one of the finest mountains in Wales and the ridge can be seen rising above the trees as you walk along the road and join the footpath. As you pass through old woodland gaining height all the time, the views open out to encompass farmland below and a line of cliffs above, guarding the northern side of the mountain. You pass the stunning Cadair Idris Lake taking the pony path to the summit. From there you are rewarded with views of many of the of Mid and North Wales mountains which are simply stunning. Game Shooting
Bryn Cleifion Hall is surrounded by some of the most glorious countryside which is ideal for top quality game shooting. We are fortunate to have many very good estates on our doorstep, namely Kempton, Delbury, Brigands and Bettws Hall.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Dovey Valley Shooting Ground is set in a wooded valley near the coast. The shooting ground features a large sporting layout with over 100 different stands offering targets to suit everyone from a complete beginner to the most experienced clay shooter.
Tuition is available for all levels, whether sharpening up your skills for the season or introducing friends and family to the sport. For keen clay shots there are sporting stands, plus A.B.T. Skeet and D.T.L, so you can shoot as little or as much as you like - from 25 to 500 clays. Cartridges are on sale and guns available for hire.
Mountain Biking
Machynlleth is an ideal destination for a mountain biking holiday. There are three cross country routes starting in Machynlleth (Mach 1, 2 and 3), and new for 2005 is the cli-machx trail in the Dyfi Forest north of the town. If you would like to sample other trails, Machynlleth is ideally situated midway between Coed y Brenin and Nant yr Arian, both Forestry Commission Centres with extensive trail networks. www.dyfimountainbiking.org.uk

Powis Castle & Garden
A medieval castle rising dramatically above the celebrated garden which was built by Welsh princes, now home to the Earls of Powis. View the world famous garden with Italianate terraces together with one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales. There is also a beautiful collection of treasures from India displayed in the Clive Museum.
Portmeirion
This unique village is set on its own private peninsula on the southern shores of Snowdonia. It was created by Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis (1883-1978) to demonstrate how a naturally beautiful place could be developed without spoiling it. Portmeirion is made up of about 50 buildings most of which are used as hotel or self-catering accommodation and surrounded by 70 acres of sub-tropical woodland gardens.
